Why tallow hair care?

Your hair wants animal fats. It always has.

Penetrates the hair shaft
The fatty acids in tallow are small enough to penetrate the hair cortex — unlike silicone-based conditioners that coat the outside without ever reaching where the damage actually is.
Shine without silicones
Modern hair products achieve shine by coating strands with silicone — which builds up over time and actually suffocates hair. Tallow and argan oil deliver genuine luster from real nourishment.
Scalp health
Tallow's fatty acids support a healthy scalp microbiome. Many customers find that regular use reduces dryness, flaking, and irritation — without the medicated shampoos they were relying on before.
What's inside

Every ingredient, explained.

Six ingredients. Each one chosen for what it does for hair and scalp — not for marketing.

Base
Grass-fed Tallow
Hair-shaft penetrating
The foundation. Its fatty acid profile allows it to penetrate the hair shaft and nourish from within — something silicones and most plant oils can't do. Rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K.
Carrier · Organic
Coconut Oil
Penetrates the cortex
Certified organic. One of the few oils that can penetrate the hair cortex. Reduces protein loss from washing and heat, and contributes to the formula's smooth, workable texture.
Shine & Nourishment
Argan Oil
Liquid gold
The gold of Morocco. Rich in vitamin E and fatty acids, argan oil delivers extraordinary shine and softness without heaviness. Works with the tallow rather than replacing it.
Emollient · Organic
Golden Jojoba Oil
Sebum-balancing
Certified organic. Structurally similar to the scalp's natural sebum. Balances oil production, conditions without build-up, and makes the formula light enough to use daily.
Conditioning
Sweet Almond Oil
Lightweight slip
A lightweight conditioning oil that softens the hair cuticle and adds slip — making detangling easier and reducing breakage, particularly in fine or damaged hair.
Scent · Organic
Lavender & Peppermint
Certified Organic
Both certified organic. Lavender has a long history of supporting scalp health and stimulating follicles. Peppermint brings a cooling, invigorating sensation and promotes circulation at the scalp.

How to use

For hair and beard.

01
Post-shower, damp hair
Scoop a small amount and warm between your palms. Apply to damp hair from mid-lengths to ends, avoiding the roots if you have fine hair. The warmth of your hands melts it to the perfect consistency.
02
For beards
Apply to a clean, slightly damp beard from root to tip. Hair Food softens coarse beard hair, reduces itchiness, and conditions the skin underneath — replacing beard balm, beard oil, and conditioner in one.
03
Start with less
A little goes a long way — especially on fine hair. Start with a pea-sized amount and add more if needed. Too much on fine hair can weigh it down; too little on thick hair won't penetrate fully.
Questions

Frequently asked

Will it make my hair greasy? +

Not if you use the right amount. Start with a pea-sized amount for fine or medium hair. For thick or coarse hair, work up to more. Hair Food absorbs into the hair shaft rather than coating it — so there's minimal residue when applied correctly to damp hair.

Can I use it on dry hair? +

Yes — on dry hair, use an even smaller amount and focus on the ends. It works beautifully as a frizz tamer and shine enhancer on dry hair between washes. Warm it thoroughly between your palms first so it spreads easily.

Is it different from the Skin Food? +

Yes — Hair Food contains argan oil and sweet almond oil specifically chosen for their hair-penetrating properties. The base is similar but the formula is optimized for hair and beard rather than skin. Many customers use both.

Does it work on all hair types? +

Yes — but the amount varies significantly. Fine hair needs very little (pea-sized or less). Thick, coarse, or curly hair benefits from more. Dry or damaged hair will absorb it most readily. The key with all hair types is warming it completely in your hands before applying.
