Will it make my skin feel greasy? +
No, when used correctly. The key is starting with a small amount. Because tallow mimics your skin's sebum, it absorbs rather than sits on the surface. Most people are surprised by how non-greasy it feels after 30 seconds. If you're finding it heavy, use less.
Can I use it on my face? +
Yes and it's one of the best face moisturizers available. It's particularly effective for dry or sensitive skin, and many customers use it as a night treatment. If you have acne-prone skin, start with the Belle Plaine (unscented) formula and introduce slowly.
What's the difference between the 0.6oz and 2oz? +
The 0.6oz uses our original formula. The 2oz features our new and improved whipped formula, lighter in texture, easier to spread, and absorbs even faster. If you're a new customer, the 2oz whipped formula is the one to start with.
What makes Vela different from the other scents? +
Vela uses a different base formula, grass-fed tallow, organic olive oil, and raw honey, with no essential oils. The honey adds natural enzymes and gentle exfoliating properties, and the olive oil adds antioxidant-rich nourishment. It's a slightly richer, more luxurious formula.
How long does a jar last? +
The 2oz jar lasts most people 6–10 weeks as a daily face moisturizer. As a body lotion, expect 3–4 weeks. Because tallow is concentrated and absorbs fully, a little genuinely goes a long way compared to water-based lotions.
